Due to the recent Missouri River flooding, the current condition of the Tom Hanafan River’s Edge Park, and this summer’s projected Missouri River levels, officials from the City of Council Bluffs and the Iowa West Foundation have canceled Loessfest 2019.
Restaurants and food trucks from across the region will showcase their fantastic menus at Loessfest in our large outdoor food court located adjacent to the Great Lawn.
Beer will also be available to purchase with valid identification at many of the events.
Food, soft drinks and water may be brought into the park for all events. You may not bring any type of alcohol into the park. Coolers and large containers will be searched at the park’s entrance. If alcohol is found, you will be required to return it to your vehicle or it will be confiscated — so please, just don’t bring it in.
The City of Council Bluffs and our Loessfest sponsors work hard to offer first-class, family-oriented entertainment to celebrate our community. We are committed to making these events free. Revenue from our park concessionaires helps us defer the costs of these events. Please consider patronizing our food court and concession sale areas.
